The Barakuda International Aquanautic Club and the Neptuno Dive Center guarantee internationally recognized training to the highest level. Barakuda is the biggest association of commercial dive instructors within CMAS-Germany and furthermore internationally connected by its membership in the RSTC.

Crossover to Barakuda Open Water Instructor

General

The Barakuda crossover provides qualified instructors from other organizations the opportunity to switch to the Barakuda-system. The classification to the various instructor levels takes place after the sucessful crossover based on the proven knowledge, skills and competencies. Claims to be classified into a specific instructor level can not be made.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18 years
• Instructor * or equivalent education (such as Open Water Instructor)
• Valid instructor license
• A valid medical certificate
• At least 150 logged dives
• Proof of instructor insurance
• Proof of participation in at least two of the three seminars, which can be attended in a modular seminar in a single block: medicine, rhetorics and communication, technology (not obligatory, if sufficient knowledge in the relevant disciplines can be proven)
• Crossover Seminar (Duration: 2 days)

The certification is done by Barakuda and CMAS-cards as well as by an entry in the Barakuda Dive Pass.
