SSI COURSES
 Courses
following the training standards of the dive association SSI (Scuba Schools
International) is getting more and more important in the diving industry.
Therefore Neptuno Dive didn't stay behind and has
become an official SSI Dealer.
The training system of SSI is similar to PADI.
The main difference is that it is school based and not instructor based, This assures that instructors provide quality training, adhere to training standards and conduct themselves professionally.
1] Try Scuba Diving (1 day)
- Lessons in the swimming pool, and some
theory
- One dive at the reef.
- Valid for one year for dives in limited depth
(12m) under instructor supervision.
- No actual certification, but can be upgraded
to one of the following courses during one year.
- Minimum age: 10 years
2] Scuba Diver (2 days) NEW
- Lessons in the swimming pool, video, theory
- Two dives at the reef.
- International certificate for diving under
Dive Control Specialist (Divecon) or instructor supervision in limited depth
(5-18 m)
- Minimum age: 10 years
3] Open Water Diver (4 days)
- Pool lessons, video and theory
- Four open water dives
- Minimum age: 10 years for the course, 15 years
for the certification
- International certificate for diving with any
dive buddy with a similar certification.
The passport diver certification has been
discontinued and is not issued anymore since June 2006.

SSI's Continuing Education System is designed to let you personalize your education to become the type of diver you want to be. Through our Specialty courses, you will be introduced to the knowledge, skills and equipment required to become a proficient diver in specialties such as Diver Stress and Rescue, Computer Diving, Boat Diving, Navigation, Wreck Diving and many more.
